The Egoscue Institute® does not offer refunds on educational materials or coursework. However, we do reserve the right to handle such a request on a case by case basis.
Trademark and Copyright Usage Policy
Materials found within the coursework utilized by Egoscue Institute® or the Egoscue® clinics worldwide are protected under copyright law. All rights reserved. Any reproduction of these or any materials without written permission from Egoscue, Inc is expressly prohibited. Egoscue® and Egoscue Institute® are registered trademarks of Egoscue, Inc.
As a "student" enrolled in and seeking the benefits of the Egoscue Institute® educational programs but yet to be certified by Egoscue Institute, it is understood you acknowledge the following:
As a student, you are aware that The Egoscue Method® and Egoscue® are registered trademarks and the exclusive property of Egoscue Inc. (“Company”) and are protected under applicable law. It is explicitly understood by you, the student, not to use these trademarks of the Company for any reason or purpose without the advance written approval of the Company.
Further, all students, whether certified or enrolled, understand that the educational products and related written materials used for the Egoscue Institute programs have been created by, and are the sole property of the Company and are protected under copyright law. These materials are for your personal use with Egoscue Institute programs and are not intended to be used, copied, or distributed for any other purpose unless otherwise approved in writing by Egoscue Inc.
Below are potential business card EXAMPLES of a certified student wishing to promote themselves. The first example is allowed, while the second is in violation of the marks. All students are allowed to identify the school that conferred their certification.
Allowed:
Jane Doe, Postural Alignment Specialist certified by Egoscue Institute®.
Jane Doe, Egoscue Certified Postural Alignment Specialist
In this example, Jane Doe is simply identifying from where she has received her certification and training as a Postural Alignment Specialist (PAS). Trademark infringement has not been violated.
Not Allowed:
Jane Doe Posture Therapy Specializing in The Egoscue Method®
Jane Doe is advertising and claiming that she is using The Egoscue Method® brand of postural therapy. That right is currently exclusive to licensed Egoscue Method® clinics worldwide.
In addition, students are not allowed to use the Egoscue® name in any website URL.
An example of a domain name that is allowed is:

Social media platforms where the name cannot be used include, but are not limited to, Facebook personal pages, Facebook business pages, Twitter bios, YouTube accounts and videos, etc.

Restrictions and Unauthorized Uses: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary above, Student shall not use trademarks as follows:
(a) In any manner, without the specific express prior written consent of Egoscue, that contradicts, violates or otherwise breaches any of the terms and conditions of this Policy; including but not limited to: (i) any manner that utilizes any of Egoscue’s Indicia, logos, or trademarks, or any indicia confusingly similar thereto; (ii) any manner that discloses any Proprietary Information of Egoscue; (iii) any manner which could be deemed a willful deception of customers by therapist, relating to the source, nature, or quality of goods sold, or relating to the terms of applicability of any of Egoscue's guaranties;
(b) To post, distribute or otherwise make available or transmit any data, text, message, computer file or other material that infringes and/or violates any right of any third party or any domestic or international law, rule or regulation, including but not limited to: (i) copyright, patent, trademark or other proprietary rights; (ii) rights of privacy or publicity; or (iii) any confidentiality obligation;
(c) To disseminate or transmit "spam," unsolicited messages, chain letters or unsolicited commercial e-mails of any kind; or to knowingly disseminate or transmit viruses, Trojan horses or any other malicious codes or programs;
(d) To disseminate or transmit material that to a reasonable person may be abusive, obscene, harassing, grossly offensive, threatening or malicious or any content that is unlawful, is intended to be used for any unlawful purpose, is false or misleading, or that actually impairs the rights of another person or entity.
